Route

Challenging itinerary, characterized by climbs that are steep at times for real climbers, but rewarded by fun downhill trails and wonderful views. Departure from Biella in Piazza Martiri Della Libertà, which we leave to take Via Cavour; then turn right onto Via Cesare Battisti, continue straight on to the traffic lights where we turn left and then, at the roundabout, we take the third exit onto Via Tollegno. At the roundabout, we turn right and then right again at the next junction into via Antonio Gramsci and continue for 1 km, and then turn right and then immediately left into via Arrigo Craveia. We cross a pedestrian bridge and turning left, we continue on a path that runs along the Cervo stream and leads us to an asphalt road. We continue uphill until we reach a right-hand bend where we go straight ahead, leaving the main road and turning onto a minor road which, after a short climb, crosses wide meadows. Turning right at the end of the road, we come to Via Mario Coletta. At the crossroads, we turn left and continue straight ahead for 1.8 km until we reach a small square on our right, where we turn uphill onto via Berardino Ferrari in the direction of Case Faletti. After 1.8 km of hard climb, we see a road on our left, closed to traffic with a bar. From here, we continue uphill for 1.4 km on the main road, until we reach a bend on the left, where we go straight, until reaching a hut where on our left we find a steep ramp that takes us to the farm road to follow. We turn right and after 1 km, passing another barrier, we tackle the last steep ramp that takes us to Pratetto. Turning downhill and riding for 300 meters, we find a path on our left that, following it to the end, takes us to a large gravel parking area. From here, we continue past a barrier and an equipped area. After 1 km, we continue downhill on a farm road for another km until we cross another one that we takes on the left. After 500 meters, we turn left again and take a path that leads us to the hamlet of Trabbia. From here we go straight downhill until we pass behind a small church and, coming out on the main road, we turn right and continue for 1.3 km until the next crossroads when on our left (near a chapel), we see a path. Following it straight ahead will lead us to the village of "Selve Marcone". Here we return to the main road, turn left and after 500 meters leave it to join the path on our right. Continuing straight ahead it will take us to its end in the hamlet of "Colma" where we turn right and after 100 meters, we turn downhill on the same side on a cobbled road and after a few meters, we turn left. Still descending, first on a path and then on a farm road, and finally on asphalt, we reach a crossroads where we turn right onto Via Bellavista. Finally, continuing straight ahead, we reach a roundabout and take the third exit and, after passing the Centre of Tollegno, we take the direction of Biella and return to our starting point.
