Route

The itinerary winds through the hills surrounding Lake Viverone. The route is characterized by a succession of woods and open countryside connected by wide paths and gravel roads. Departure from Zimone on via Circonvallazione that we leave to take via Viverone. At the first junction, we keep left and then turn right on the next one. We continue on the gravel road until we arrive at Bertignano Lake where, keeping the right, we continue until we find a chapel, we turn right again and ride along via Sordevolo; we leave it to turn on via al Monte until the next crossroads. We then go straight on via Marchesi di Gattinara. At the roundabout, we take the third exit onto the provincial road (SP228); after 900 meters, we turn right onto via Morzano, which we keep until the end and then turn left onto via S. Giovanni Bosco. At the next crossroads, we continue to the right and then take via Alice Castello, where we turn left and ride for 750 meters, then turn right again onto a gravel road. After 1 km, we go straight on ignoring the next two crossroads and after another 1.3 km, we turn left first and then right. We go straight on until finding the asphalt road where we turn right onto via Ivrea, which we leave after 1 km to turn right onto via Toselli and then right again at the next junction. We continue for 1.6 km, turn left, and then right at the next crossroads. We ride for 300 meters, then turn right, and then left passing under the motorway. We continue downhill until finding a wide white road, which, turning right and continuing without leaving it, will take us back to Via Alice Castello. We leave via Alice Castello to return to via S. Giovanni Bosco, turning right at the fork and then left at the next fork. We continue straight on via Morzano until we find via Ivrea, where we turn left until we reach a roundabout where we take the first exit via Cavaglià, and then take via al Castello, which we ride until its end to turn right onto via S. Vitale. After 1.7 km, we turn left to return to the lake of Bertignano where, keeping to the right, we ride until finding an uphill road. We pass by a farmstead and continue on the path that we keep and then turn right after 600 meters. We go straight on until via Peverano, where we turn left and then again at the next crossroads to take the path that leads us to the "Roc della Regina". Once we reach it, we continue straight ahead and then turn left, then right and after 400 meters to the left again on a path that becomes wider and wider until we reach the point from which we started.
