“MEZZA BESSA” TRAIL

Touristic
Request information

Another possibility for hikers is the road called "Mezza Bessa", a route that crosses the protected area longitudinally from Cerrione (Ramuzzana road) to Zubiena, Vermogno hamlet. The route is pleasant and winding, with modest slopes. A little more than halfway along the route, a linking path branches off to the right and reaches the area of the former Barbera Quarry, with two wildlife observation points as well as a protective structure of a washing channel brought to light during the environmental restoration of the quarry. When you reach the meeting point with the cycle track "dei Cumuli di Ciottoli", follow it until you reach the Visitor Centre of Vermogno (Zubiena). The road of the "Mezza Bessa" runs along stage 14 of the GTB route - Grande Traversata del Biellese.
