GTA STAGE 15: RIVETTI REFUGE- S. GIOVANNI D'ANDORNO SANCTUARY
Excursion
Starting from the Rivetti Refuge, take path E60 that, passing by Alpe Anval (junction with the old mule track to Mologna Piaccola), enters the woods along the left bank of the Mologna, passes the Montà huts and leads to Piedicavallo.
Once in the village, turn right from Via Lamarmora, cross the Mologna stream and go down to Ravere forecourt.
Cross the Cervo, passing over the old stone bridge called "punt d'la cua”, turn left towards E40 path, which is slightly downhill, and then flat; it then climbs gently through the beech wood until Alpe Coda huts. The trail crosses the Coda stream, where the path has been modified due to flooding, and then resumes the old trail with a moderate and constant gradient. Once you have crossed the Jervas stream and after a few long hairpin bends, you come out of the wood to reach the Selle di Rosazza, known as "il Balcun", and continue through the pastures to the Madonna della Neve Refuge; following the E32 signpost, you now descend to Desate and then reach E30 mule track to Rosazza village.
From here, descend along provincial road SP100 for about 500 metres to take, at the Concresio bridge, the E29 mule track that connects to San Giovanni d'Andorno Sanctuary.
