WORLD TRAIL - MIGRATING FROM AND TO THE SERRA
Touristic
A route between Torrazzo and Sala Biellese that retraces the history of the industrious Biellese. On the traces of the ancient road linking Biellese and Canavese, which winds through woods and meadows, you will find information panels on the hemp cycle from the field to the loom, an ancient tradition of these areas.
Park your car in Bornasco at the roofed washhouse in Via Regina Margherita and follow the main road downhill towards Mongrando as far as the square in front of the festival centre. Take the gravel road and after 200 m, you will come out on the main road. Continue for 30 m until you turn right onto trail S6. Here you will find the board indicating the route.
The route continues on a gentle climb to the outskirts of Sala Biellese, where it crosses the final stretch of Via Garibaldi. Turn left and follow the signs to the Madonnina Sanctuary and the adjacent picnic area. With a last flat stretch through woods, meadows and rows of vines, you finally reach the village of Torrazzo.
