BRICH DI ZUMAGLIA AND MONT PREVÈ PICNIC AREA

Request information

The Brich di Zumaglia and Mont Prevé picnic area, established in 1995, covers about 44 hectares in the municipalities of Ronco and Zumaglia. The area, with a castle on the summit at an altitude of 669 m, is very steep, hence the name "Brich". It was during the Fascist period that the Brich of Zumaglia took on the appearance we still see today, when the owner of the land had the castle built in medieval style, incorporating some ruins of an ancient fortress; he also created the park along the slopes of the hill, enriching it with exotic species, especially conifers, and numerous paths. From the castle, there is an extremely panoramic view over a large part of the Biellese area. A walk to the top of Mont Prevé, the hill next to the Brich di Zumaglia, offers instead a wilder nature in a typical Biellese hilly environment, with thick woods of chestnut and locust trees.

Location: Zumaglia, Ronco Biellese (Brich di Zumaglia and Biellese Hill)
