ACTIVITIES

The mountains of the Biella province have particular features including their unique location which means that with just one sweep of a glance, the entire Padana Plain can be viewed on the one side and all the Western and Central Alps on the other.
They are wild mountains, but easily accessible and have a little of everything on offer, ranging from highly-equipped trails to adventure routes and from totally pristine wilderness to the numerous vie ferrate.
Routes, such as the “Alta Via”, the “high path”, which for some 40km follows the crest that separates Biella from the “Gressoney Valley”, provide unique experiences in the Alps.
In winter,it is a true paradise for ski-mountaineering, thanks to heavy snowfalls and particular climatic conditions which rapidly make the snow suitable for this activity.
