The “Wheel Factory”

Request information

“The Wheel Factory” (ex-woollen mill Zignone) was built around 1876. It’s one of the best examples of industrial archeology in Italy, having preserved the multilevel 19th century establishment in Manchester style and with its teledynamics system for transmitting energy. It houses the documentation centre of the textile industry made up of about 60 archival funds and a specialized library. It’s situated halfway along the ”Path of Wool” of industrial archeology which connects Biella to Borgosesia.

Entrance to be paid
