WORKSHOP OF THE SCULPTOR MASSIMINO PERINO
How a sculpture is made
Since 2008, the Parish House in the hamlet of Sant'Eurosia has housed the plaster casts gallery of Massimino Perino (1882-1954), promoted by his daughter Mariella, herself a sculptor. Alongside the plaster casts - some of which have never been rendered in marble or bronze - are the early sculptures and documents, preparatory drawings, compasses and the "fine-tuning machine" for the works. The visit is ideally rounded off with a visit to the nearby cemetery where, among many other examples of the Perino family's work, the family tomb stands out with a statue of the sculptor surrounded by the tools of his trade.
Location: Pralungo (Biella and Oropa Valley)
