Pietro Micca's home place
The house where Pietro Micca was born in 1677 is in the old part of the town of Sagliano Micca. It consists of two rooms connected by an outside staircase and has the charm of the ancient rural houses. Recently restored, it became a casket full of memories related to the figure of Pietro Micca and Turin's siege in 1706, where the miner from Sagliano died as a hero. The several gravestones in the yard in front of the house remind important visitors, from the Queen Margaret of Savoy to Giuseppe Garibaldi. The visit to the building is a genuine meeting with the past.
Location: Sagliano Micca (Cervo Valley)
