CHURCH OF SAINTS FABIAN, SEBASTIAN AND OF THE HOLY TRINITY
Built in 1626 by the wealthy Confraternity of the Holy Trinity, the church has a 1956 façade by architect Nicola Mosso. Inside, the rich and full wooden altar, made by Giovanni Antonio Vaglio of Pettinengo between 1682 and 1684, is striking: in the centre the Trinity crowns the Virgin and on the sides, between the slender and elegant twisted columns, the four cardinal virtues and above the three theological virtues. The altarpiece of the Coronation of the Virgin and the frescoes in the choir with scenes from the Infancy of Christ are attributed to Anselmo Allasina (early 17th century), while the later frescoes on the sides of the presbytery are attributed to Vincenzo Costantino.
Location: Biella (Biella and Oropa Valley)
