Botto Woollen Mill and the workers village

Request information

In Miagliano, there is the mill of one of the most important Italian cotton manufacturers, built by the Poma family in the 19th century, which was followed by the construction of a workers village. in 1958, it was transformed by the Botto Family, into a woolen mill until the beginning of the 21st century. Today, the mill is born again, thanks to the activities of Biella The Wool Company, a consortium linking the sheepfarmers to the wool processing chain, and the Wool Friends Association, which promotes the cultural development of the factory through education, the arts and drama.
