An old and popular sacred stage play

In the chancel and sacristy of the 17th century Saint Maria Church visitors can see and admire documents pertaining to the history of the Passion of Sordevolo:  videos, photographs, texts and objects which illustrate the glorious past of these popular sacred stage plays known all over the world, an "event" which the whole village participates in. The passion is an "event" that involves the whole village every five years; it is therefore a live museum that reflects the soul of the village in which the inhabitants identify themselves.

Location: Sordevolo (Elvo Valley)
