Madonna della Fontana Sanctuary

Request information

Located in Crevacuore in the beautifully green Valsessera. Legend has it that in 1534 a mute shepherd girl was praying to the Madonna, whose image was portrayed on a rock (that was later placed inside the church), and when she finished she regained her ability to speak. The church, most likely from the seventeen hundreds, inspired by the miracle, has a facade that is preceded by a five-arched colonnade. The stone fountain, typically found in Biellese sanctuaries, is quite interesting and is placed in the square in front of the church. Inside are precious frescoes and works of art by Biellese artists from the 19th century.

Location: Crevacuore (Zegna Oasis and Sessera Valley)
