Comments: The main attractions on this section are the superb views available during much of the walk. This is the zone in which Bramaterra wine is made, one of the best D.O.C. wines in the province of Biella. It is produced by combining Nebbiolo grapes from the hills between Masserano, Brusnengo and Sostegno, where the vines find their ideal habitat.
In the high part of the hamlet of Forte, you take the cart-track to the Sanctuary of the Madonna degli Angeli. After a stretch through the vines (right), the road bends right and climbs the hill, from where you can admire the hills between Masserano and Brusnengo and the plain. Having reached the summit, you can take a rest in the picnic area next to the small church before setting out on one of the most spectacular sections of the entire GtB: a series of paths as far as Castelletto Villa that run along the ridges that form the watershed between the Rio Bisingana and the Riale di San Giorgio. After descending to Ravasanella Dam, climb up towards Asei where you will tackle the steep rise that will take you to the Sanctuary of San Bernardo. Continue along the ridge to the Sostegno-Curino road, then turn north. Having reached the ridge near Cima Rubattini, continue along the crest past the Massucco del Turlo, and descend rapidly towards the valley of the Torrent Sessera. Cross over the torrent at Azoglio and end the walk at Crevacuore.
